Raleigh Brewing 2nd Annual Brewers Olympics
Coming up this Saturday April 6th is Raleigh Brewing’s 2nd annual Brewers Olympics! Here is some info on this awesome event that is helping us kick off NC Beer Month.
RALEIGH BREWING COMPANY HOST 2ND ANNUAL BREWERS OLYMPICS
Raleigh, NC -April 4, 2015 – Raleigh Brewing Company will be kicking off the first weekend of North Carolina Beer Month by hosting their 2nd Annual Brewers Olympics. Raleigh Brewing Company, Double Barley Brewing, Fullsteam Brewery, Aviator Brewing Company, and Bull City Ciderworks will be vying for the gold, silver, and bronze medals.The Opening Ceremony will take place at noon and the events will run until
approximately 6 pm. The Olympics will consist of eight events: The Tri-Clamp Challenge, Grain Bag Relay, Corny Keg Shot Put, Tri-Clamp Toss, Speed Bottle Capping, Empty Keg Stacking, Trivia, and a Public Cask Tasting. For the Public Cask Tasting Event, each brewery will be sampling out their concoction and the public will be able to vote for their favorite! There is a $5 cost for participating in the
tasting portion of the event. Brewers are encouraged to wear wacky costumes in order to get a few extra points to bolster their scores.A portion of the days proceeds will be donated to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society through Raleigh Brewing Company’s sponsorship of Team On Draft. Make your way to Raleigh Brewing Company, cheer on your favorite local brewers, sip some tasty beers, and enjoy the first Saturday of NC Beer Month!
The events will take place in Raleigh Brewing Company’s brewery and in the NBS Gym located adjacent to the brewery. 21+ are permitted on site until 9 pm. Raleigh Brewing Company is located at 3709 Neil Street, Raleigh, NC 27607.
