The World Beer Festival—Durham reveals festival commemorative tasting glass

Durham, NC – The World Beer Festival—Durham, to be held Saturday, October 11th at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park, reveals the 2014 commemorative tasting glass.

“We work hard every year to further improve the festival experience,” said Adam Harold, Director of Beer Programs for the World Beer Festival. “This glass is designed to properly taste beer, and lends itself to a better experience for our attendees.”

The glass, known as a snifter, has been noted as one of the most versatile beer glasses in history. The World Beer Festival showcases some of the finest beers in the world, and proper glassware better helps to represent these great brews.

The new commemorative tasting glass will allow for a 4oz pour from each brewery, as opposed to the 2oz pours available in the previous plastic tasting cups. The increased volume will allow participants to taste more of the beer from each brewery, heightening the sampling experience and enabling attendees to better enjoy the site, smell and taste of the beer in their glass.

Tickets to the World Beer Festival—Durham are almost sold out. Interested attendees are encouraged to purchase tickets at www.worldbeerfestival.com or Sam’s Bottle Shop and Sam’s Quick Shop prior to the festival. Tickets will not be available at the door if sold out online.

The festival will be held on October 11, 2014 at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park, and offers two sessions, 12-4 p.m. and 6-10 p.m.

The World Beer Festival—Durham is sponsored by Whole Foods Durham, Dickey’s Barbeque Pit and Tyler’s Taproom.
